Dealing with traffic on Gatlin Blvd in Tradition

The traffic has been horrendous on Gatlan Blvd in Tradition especially going south. Sometimes I go to Crosstown. Yesterday, I hoped on I95 and drove down to Becker. I’ve never seen traffic as bad as yesterday. It was a Sunday.

Woke up this morning to this article by WPBF. It’s a good read.

Port St. Lucie mayor talks work being done to address traffic problems amid growing population

Some people think the lights are not timed well.

The work at I-95 and Gatlin Boulevard will be done this fall. Improvements in the project include widening southbound I-95 to provide a 12-foot lane and shoulder, and the off-ramp for additional right-turn and left-turn lanes.

Crews are also widening the inside of the I-95 northbound Gatlin Boulevard off-ramp to make three left-turn lanes, and eastbound and westbound Gatlin Boulevard to make three 15-foot left-turn lanes.

What your take on this? What do you think can be done?

Extend turn lanes at certain intersections including the eastbound left turn lane at BAYSHORE Blvd. for starters. Someone is going to be rear ended bad at this intersection because turning traffic backs up into the moving east bound lane!!!!
