PSLPD: Suspect Arrested for Child Abuse Caught on Viral Video

PSLPD Officers have charged 39-year-old Lazaro Juan Gonzalez of Port St. Lucie with 1 count of child abuse stemming from an incident caught on video that went viral on social media.

The incident occurred on November 4th, 2023, at Urban Air Adventure in Port St. Lucie.

The investigation by PSLPD officers revealed that Gonzalez and a 13-year-old male brushed shoulders while standing in line for one of the attractions. An argument ensued between the two and Gonzalez grabbed the 13-year-old child by the neck and pushed him up against the wall.

At the conclusion of the investigation, officers applied for and were granted a warrant for 1 count of child abuse. Gonzalez was arrested November 15th, 2023, at his residence by PSLPD officers.

Gonzalez was released today on a $1,500.00 bond.
