St.Lucie County, Fl – The St Lucie County  Sheriff is warning the public about a scam that concerns them.

Here are the details from the Sheriff:

SCAM ALERT! 

Have you received a suspicious phone call from someone who claimed to be a St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office deputy and then threatened to arrest you on outstanding warrants unless you pay them by purchasing Bitcoin or gift cards? 

 Do not fall for this SCAM! No law enforcement officer or government official will call you requesting payment via Bitcoin or gift cards.
