76 year- old Broward Booze Burglar arrested for breaking into Martin County liquor store stealing expensive alcohol

Nothing but the best for this once elusive booze burglar who went to great lengths to have drinks on the house.

After working to locate the person who was breaking into liquor stores and stealing $2500 bottles of fine spirits, 76-year old Mervin Hadden had his last free nightcap after MCSO Detectives identified him through store surveillance video.

Hadden of North Broward County traveled to Martin County not to have a holiday drink, but to break into a local liquor store and steal high end bottles of liquor.

The suspect left a crowbar and a mask behind leaving enough evidence for MCSO to make a positive identification.

While the fruit of Hadden’s labor aged like a fine wine, our detectives penned out probable cause for a warrant.

The two spirits finally met.

Mervin Hadden was located and arrested in Broward County making it a very un-happy hour for the suspect. Inside his vehicle they found what looks be one or two for the road. That, and a $20,000 bond might make anyone think about having just one more. Especially when you have to steal it at the #WrongExit
