Humane Society of the Treasure Coast seeks  help after large animal seizure

Martin County, Fl -The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast is asking the public for help  after 26 animals were seized from a man’s home following his arrest.

Here are the details for accuracy from the Martin County Sheriff:

URGENT REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE FROM HUMANE SOCIETY OF THE  TREASURE COAST AFTER THE ARREST OF A SUSPECT WITH MULTIPLE ANIMALS

As part of a case involving the arrest of a Martin County man, Martin County Sheriff’s Animal Control Officers were forced to seize 26 animals from one home (with more to come).

These animals include dogs with puppies, cats with kittens, and multiple chickens. These animals will be on HOLD pending the outcome of the investigation which could take several weeks. With that, the intake of animals has caused a dire need for the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast and they are seeking help from the community.

Because the shelter is at near capacity, and the proper care of the animals is constant and costly, the shelter needs donations of wet dog and cat food, chicken feed and chicken enrichment toys.

All of the animals received today are in need of medical care including vaccinations and preventatives. In addition, some of these animals will need emergency medical attention that is currently being provided by the shelter.  If possible, please consider making a donation to assist them as they care for these animals.

Again, the animals seized today are not up for adoption at this time, but there are multiple animals that are.  If you can, please consider helping the shelter care for these animals to the extent that they deserve to live healthy thriving lives.
