Stuart Commission to vote on agreement with Martin County for a Brightline Station on Monday

Stuart, Fl (treasurecoastfree.press)- On November 13th the City of Stuart approved a joint response — meaning both the county and the city approve — to begin planning and designing a new Brightline station on Monday afternoon.

Brightline has published a request for proposals seeking submissions for train station locations in Martin and St. Lucie counties.

**Brightline Update*** Posted by Dr. Christopher Collins, City of Stuart Commissioner

Here is the information

At tomorrow’s 12/11 Stuart City Commission meeting, we will be voting on whether or not to sign an agreement with the County for a Brightline station.

This agreement includes financial and land commitments from the City and County.

Total cost for the station and garage has been estimated at $40-60 million.

If a Brightline station is an important issue for you, either for or against, this is THE meeting to voice public comment.

After this vote, if Stuart is selected by Brightline, the future meetings will revolve around lease terms.

Meeting starts at 4pm 121 Flagler
