Train crashes into car at Confusion Corner

Stuart,Fl – The Stuart Police reported that occupants of a car escaped injury Thursday evening at Confusion Corner where a Brightline train hit their vehicle.

Here are the details from the Stuart Police:

On Thursday, December 21st, at 1838 hours, your Stuart Police Department responded to Confusion Corner in reference to a train crash involving a single vehicle. Based on the preliminary investigation, the vehicle attempted to cross the tracks but got caught in traffic, forcing it to stop on the track. The crossing arms were activated, and the occupants abandoned the vehicle and got to safety. Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident. 

All crossings are back open, and intermittent testing of the safety system on the railway should be completed within a few hours.
