A huge shoutout to Indian River County Sheriff’s Office for helping PSLPD with the apprehension of an auto burglary suspect.

Yesterday at about 1:30 pm, PSLPD officers responded to the parking lot of Aldi on SW St. Lucie West Blvd. for an auto burglary that had just occurred.

The victim witnessed the female suspect inside their vehicle and confronted the suspect. The suspect stated she believed she was in her sister’s vehicle. The suspect then entered a Lexus IS250 and left the scene.

A BOLO for the suspect vehicle was put out and IRCSO detectives eventually located the vehicle in the parking lot of Marshall’s on 20th Street in their jurisdiction. Detectives observed the suspect, later identified as 38 year old Shaquita Williams, actively burglarizing another vehicle and placed her under arrest.

PSLPD completed a warrant application for Williams’ arrest for the incident in our jurisdiction.
