Miracle Baseball League coming to Martin County

Every Child Deserves A Chance to Play Baseball.”

Martin County, Fl- The Miracle Baseball League will be coming to Martin County. The Miracle League provides an opportunity for children of all abilities to play baseball. Each child bats, is able to run the bases with buddies (volunteers from the community), and each child scores.

The Miracle League serves children and adults who suffer from any physical or mental disabilities, which causes them to be excluded, whether intentionally or not, from conventional Baseball leagues.

What is the Miracle League slogan?

The Miracle League Slogan is “Every Child Deserves A Chance to Play Baseball.”

Here is the information from Trevor Sherrard.

Hello Everyone, we have something special to announce for Martin County in 2024. We are thrilled to announce the launch of our nonprofit Miracle League of Martin County, this spring at Sailfish Park!

For the past three years we have been blessed to be able to travel to Palm Beach Garden for our son to participate in the Miracle League of Palm Beach County. The Miracle League provides an opportunity for children of all abilities to play baseball. Each child bats, is able to run the bases with buddies (volunteers from the community), and each child scores.

After three years of participating in Palm Beach County, my wife Kayla Sherrard and I have decided to bring the joy of baseball to children closer to our home. Miracle League of Martin County is a non-profit organization registered with both the state and federal governments and our plan is to open registration February 6th, with our opening day being April 4, 2024. My firm and Phillip DeBerard will be sponsoring one team each and providing uniforms and trophies to 30 children.

We can’t wait to play ball in April – but this program takes a village! The city of Stuart has provided us a permit for a field at Sailfish Park, and we are currently speaking with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Martin County Fire Department, and Stuart Police Department who we are hoping to have come out one week to support us. We have also reached out to the local high school athletic organizations for volunteers. Our plan is for the program to be FREE to all the children participating, so our program would benefit from any/all support that this community has to offer.

We are looking for volunteers to help run the bases with the children on Thursday nights, Coaches, Team Mom’s, equipment and donations.

Thanks so much everyone and we are so excited to see you on April 4th!

All special needs children are welcome, no matter where they are from. Also there is no age limit. Please talk to Trevor Sharrard for more info.
