Driver slams into Stuart building at a high rate of speed

It happened at around 3:15 p.m. yesterday (1/3/2024). The address is 1000 SE Federal Highway in Stuart. The area is south of Kanner/Colorado.

This was sent in by a person who wishes to stay anonymous.

According to a witness the following happened:

We heard a loud explosion noise and our building felt like it shook. The driver hit a sign going northbound on federal highway and slammed it in reverse and then put it in drive going at a high rate of speed and crossed the median then slammed into the wall , hit the ditch and then the fence. Luckily there were no cars in that southbound lane. Could of been much worse. He was very intoxicated in the middle of the day.
