Martin County, Fl -The Martin County Sheriff is reporting a violent attack on a local 54-year-old woman this morning near the corner of 47th Avenue and Field Street. They are looking for video footage.

MCSO SEEKING INFORMATION ON RANDOM EARLY MORNING ATTACK ON WOMAN
A 54-year old woman was traumatized after an assailant violently attacked her as she attempted to get into her car early this morning. The suspect ambushed the woman and began choking her. She was able to fight him off but then he lunged into her vehicle and stole her bag. It happened around 6am in the New Monrovia Community near the corner of 47th Avenue and Field Street.
The victim was able to give detectives the following description: a younger black male, slim build around 5’7” tall. The suspect was wearing a mask and all black clothing. He was last seen running east on Field Street.
Anyone with any information or video surveillance footage of that area around that time please call MCSO’s Criminal Investigations Division or Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers.
