Fort Pierce, Fl- Two juveniles were arrested in Indian River County following a Robbery and Carjacking in Fort Pierce.

TWO JUVENILES ARRESTED IN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY FOLLOWING ROBBERY, CARJACKING IN FORT PIERCE
On Thursday, January 4, 2024, at about 10:18 p.m., Fort Pierce Police officers responded to a residence in the 800 block of South 6th Street in reference to a possible robbery/carjacking. Investigation revealed a 47-year-old male arrived at his residence at about 10 p.m. and was ambushed by two males wearing hoodies. One of the males brandished a firearm and stole the victim’s wallet. Both of the suspects then fled in the victim’s SUV.
Fort Pierce Police officers quickly reported the incident to surrounding law enforcement agencies and at about 11:49 p.m., deputies with the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office attempted to perform a traffic stop on the missing SUV. The vehicle fled from deputies but eventually crashed and two juveniles, a 15-year-old male and a 13-year-old male, were apprehended. Both were placed under arrest, transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Fort Pierce and charged with carjacking and robbery. Additional charges are expected to be added by the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.
