St Lucie Sheriff still searching for missing boater

St.Lucie County, Fl- The St.Lucie Sheriff’s office has reported that they are still searching for a missing boater. The missing boater is identified as 50-year-old Brian Ronshausen.

Here is an update from the St.Lucie Sheriff:

Detectives are still searching for a missing boater identified as 50-year-old Brian Ronshausen. Brian was last observed launching a small boat from Stan Blum boat ramp on January 8, 2023, at approximately 11 p.m. His boat was found floating north of the North Beach Bridge early this morning.

SLCSO AND COAST GUARD SEARCH FOR MISSING BOATER

At approximately 3 a.m., a concerned boater contacted 911 after locating an unoccupied Carolina Skiff in the channel near Riverside Marina. Sheriff’s Office deputies responded along with the Coast Guard to investigate. At this time, a 50-year-old man is presumed missing. Air units will assist in the search once day breaks. Expect a large law enforcement presence along the shoreline as Sheriff’s Office deputies continue their search.
