PSLPD stops 16-year-old driver speeding 90 mph on Crosstown

Port St.Lucie, Fl -The Port St.Lucie Police reported that Officer Appelbaum stopped a 16-year-old driver for speeding 90 mph on Crosstown Parkway.

Here are the details:

Earlier today, Officer Appelbaum of our Traffic Unit stopped a 16-year-old driver on SW Crosstown Pkwy. for speeding 90 mph in a 45 mph zone.

The driver was appropriately cited and will have a mandatory court date.

This is a friendly reminder that these outrageous speeds will not be tolerated and violators will face appropriate consequences.

    they won’t be tolerated when caught- but rarely do I see anyone out there catching them. Unfortunately I drive it every day bc I live off of crosstown.

    also red light runners. From Floresta to crosstown southbound ONE lane you CAN turn right on red; clearly marked that you can’t from other lane. No one abides.

    then Crosstown west bound taking left to Floresta south bound- left turn lane people go on red always. st lucie drivers use TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND SIGNS as SUGGESTED NOT MANDATORY .

    red light runners are probably more dangerous then speeders. And you could literally sit at a light and get 3-4 per red light!

  2. In Georgia, you would get your license suspended. And a super speeder fine. I was a driving instructor for teens.
