STOLEN DISH SOAP LEADS TO ARREST OF PICK-POCKET SUSPECT

34-year old Alfonzo Antwoine Ford of Riviera Beach said he needed some dish soap. So he traveled to Martin County looking for a steal. Not a deal, a steal.

It was that dish soap theft that allowed detectives to charge him with a different deal, one he thought he got away with. Earlier this month, Ford was suspected of pick-pocketing an elderly man who was grocery shopping at a local market. Ford immediately went on a shopping spree charging more than $700.00 in merchandise on the victim’s credit cards. Then he vanished.

This week, he decided to return to Martin County for some dish soap. He was arrested for stealing the soap, then admitted to detectives that he was the one who victimized the elderly man weeks earlier. Antwoine Ford was charged with Theft from a person over 65, Fraudulent use of a credit card, Criminal use of Personal identification, and Grand Theft. #WrongExit
