Two Red-shoulder hawks shot and brought into wild life center

Martin County, Fl -According to the Treasure Coast Wild Life Center 2 Red-shouldered hawks were shot.

Here are the details:

Staff is concerned after 2 Red-shouldered hawks came to the facility only a few days apart, both of which had been shot!

These birds were shot with two different types of ammo & were found in two separate locations. We remind the public that it is highly ILLEGAL to intentionally injure wildlife, and these birds are federally protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
