Port St. Lucie Police  arrest driver with over 60 lbs of suspected methamphetamine

Port St.Lucie, Fl -The Port St.Lucie Police reported that they arrested Douglas Thompson of Texas. He had over 60 lbs of Methamphetamine in his car.

Here are the details from the Port St. Lucie Police:

Driver Arrested with Over 60 lbs. of Suspected Methamphetamine in Vehicle

Last week, while patrolling SW Village Pkwy. And SW Discovery Ln. , Officer Mastrangiola conducted a traffic stop on a cream colored sedan for a traffic violation.

Upon making contact with the driver, Douglas Thompson of Texas, Officer Mastrangiola could smell the strong odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle.

After confirming the driver did not possess a medical marijuana card, Officer Mastrangiola conducted a search of the vehicle which revealed the following:

17 vacuum sealed bags containing powdered methamphetamine (64.05 lbs )

47 containers containing THC gummies (10.45 lbs)

14 individually packaged sheets of THC wax

22 grams of cannabis

Metal grinders containing cannabis

A smoking glass bong containing cannabis residue

Thompson was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Lucie County Jail where he is currently housed on $106,000 bond. #wrongexit
