Martin County, Fl- The Martin County Sheriff is reporting a submerged car spotted by a passerby is being investigated.

Here are the details:

Early this morning, a passerby reported seeing a car submerged in a lake on Citrus Boulevard near the North County line, prompting an investigation by the MCSO.

After searching the vehicle, divers did not locate any occupants and will now work to determine if the incident was caused by a crash that initially went unnoticed or a stolen vehicle that was dumped in the water. We will update.
