Help the HSTC by fostering

This is the biggest need at the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast. These pets though no fault of their own end up in kennel and they do not thrive there. They need a little extra love and care.

Fostering is an amazing experience. It’s not only a great experience for anyone but especially great for someone who might not want a pet full time.

Here is the info from our friend Nicole:

We get this question a lot…

🌟What is the BIGGEST need for our shelter right now?🌟

Well, our answer is always the same – we need foster homes that will take the animals who are struggling the most and give them a break outside of the shelter walls. These animals, mostly dogs, are the ones who are not adjusting well to being in a kennel. They are showing signs of fear, anxiety, and stress, which would otherwise not happen in a home.

HSTC’S Promote a Pet foster program is an extension of HSTC’s traditional foster program, with a unique twist – it leverages the power of social media to promote homeless animals for adoption. Not all animals are eligible for the Promote a Pet Program. This program is for animals that are not thriving in a shelter environment. A Promote a Pet foster will bring an animal home and promote them all over so that the pet does not need to wait for adoption in a kennel. We provide medical care and supplies at no cost to the foster while the animal is in their care.

Our top 6 dogs who are currently in need of a Promote a Pet foster can be found here: https://hstc1.org/PromoteAPet . On this website, you can find descriptions and videos of these dogs. If you are interested in meeting one of these very deserving pups, please email DogFoster@hstc1.org.
