The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was crossing N.W. Federal Highway when he was hit by a vehicle that was traveling north on NW. Federal Highway. The striking vehicle fled the scene.

The Stuart Police Department Detective Bureau conducted a thorough and detailed investigation into the death of Harry Maser. Detectives gathered evidence at the scene and identified the striking vehicle as a white 2021 Range Rover. Detectives were able to identify the license plate of the Range Rover.
