Stuart. Fl- Two suspects were arrested after a woman’s purse was stolen at Wawa on Kanner Highway.

Robbery & Burglary Arrest
On April 25, 2024, your Stuart Police Officers responded to Wawa, located at 2401 S. Kanner Highway, for the report of a robbery.
Upon arrival, officers interviewed the victim and learned that two male suspects forcibly stole the victim’s purse and fled in an older model Toyota. The description of the suspects and the vehicle was broadcasted countywide. A Martin County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit located the suspect vehicle north on I-95 near Kanner Highway.
Following a short vehicle pursuit, the suspects stopped and arrested without further incident. Officers located evidence linking the suspects to the crime in the vehicle. The suspects were arrested and charged with Robbery, Burglary of a Vehicle, Grand Theft, and Tampering with Evidence.
Detectives have determined the suspects have no ties to Martin County and targeted the victim who just visited a local bank. Good communication, teamwork with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, and an eagle-eyed deputy led to the swift apprehension of these traveling criminals. Both suspects were lodged at the Martin County Jail.

➢ Bryam Cardenas Moreno, male, 27 yoa, resident of Cicero, Illinois
(additionally charged with Fleeing and Eluding by MCSO)
