Fort Pierce Police have shooting suspect in custody

Fort Pierce, Fl- The Fort Pierce Police Department announced in an arrest related to a homicide that happened last weekend.

The police department said Antonio Stephon Watson, 29 was arrested Wednesday afternoon with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service.

FORT PIERCE POLICE ARREST 29-YEAR-OLD SUSPECT IN FATAL SHOOTING

On May 15, 2024, at approximately 2:28 p.m., detectives with the Fort Pierce Police Department, with assistance from the United States Marshals Service, arrested a Fort Pierce resident in connection with a homicide that took place this past weekend.

Antonio Stephon Watson, 29, was taken into custody and charged with homicide/murder first degree premeditated and possession of a firearm/weapon or ammunition by a convicted felon. He was arrested in connection with the May 12, 2024, shooting that left 37-year-old Levil Demetris Smith dead. The incident took place in the area of North 24th Street and Canal Terrace in Fort Pierce.
