Port St. Lucie, Fl-The Port St. Lucie Police caught wind of a group of people online planning a “street takeover” on Saturday in Port St. Lucie, involving drag racing, burnouts, drifting and donuts.

“Street Takeover” Event leads to the arrest of 4 individuals and 30 citations!
PSLPD had an increased law enforcement presence in the area last night due to information about a planned “Street Takeover” Event. Approximately 100 vehicles met up and engaged in reckless and dangerous behavior to include drag racing, burnouts, drifting, and donuts.
Officers conducted 24 traffic stops, issued 30 citations, and arrested 4 individuals on charges to include engaging in a street takeover, reckless driving, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Chief Richard Del Toro stated, “Street takeover events are dangerous, illegal, and will not be tolerated in our city. PSLPD is committed to keeping our community safe and will continue to arrest those individuals who participate in these events.”
