Lifeguards Rescue Two Drowning Victims from Surf at Stuart Beach

Stuart, Fl-Martin County Fire Rescue are reporting that lifeguards rescued two drowning victims at Stuart Beach.

Lifeguards Rescue Two Drowning Victims from Surf at Stuart Beach

We had a call come in around 1:30 this afternoon for missing swimmers behind the Marriott Hotel near 109 NE Tradewind Lane at Stuart Beach.

Witnesses saw 4 swimmers struggling in a possible rip current.

Our Ocean Rescue Lifeguards entered the water and were able to pull out one unconscious person and begin CPR.

Moments later, another unconscious swimmer was rescued and CPR was initiated.

The two victims, a man in his 50’s and a woman in her 40’s, are being transported to Martin North hospital in serious condition.

Two additional swimmers initially included in the call swam out of the water and were not injured.
