Fort Pierce Driver involved in crash turns himself in

Fort Pierce, Fl-The driver of the traffic crash this morning in the 2300 block of Avenue O has turned himself in to the Fort Pierce Police Department.

UPDATE: DRIVER INVOLVED IN CRASH APPREHENDED

The driver of the traffic crash this morning in the 2300 block of Avenue O has turned himself in to the Fort Pierce Police Department.

FORT PIERCE POLICE SEEKING PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE

At 7:58 am this morning, the Fort Pierce Police Department responded to the 2300 block of Avenue O in reference to a traffic accident. A Honda Civic traveling eastbound along Avenue O struck the driver of the moped who was traveling southbound along N. 23rd Street. The Honda Civic driver fled the scene before the officers arrived. The driver of the moped was transported to HCA Lawnwood where he later succumbed to his injuries. The suspect vehicle is described as golden brown in color with possible heavy front-end damage.
