PSLPD unveils robotic dog to assist with law enforcement efforts

Port St Lucie, Fl- The Port St Lucie Police unveiled a robotic dog to assist with law enforcement efforts.

Here the details from the Port St Lucie Police :

Acquired through a $25,000 grant the Unitree Go2 has already seen action.

Yesterday, early in the morning our PSLPD SWAT Team conducted a narcotic’s search warrant on the 600 Blk of S.E. Preston Lane. The Go2 was deployed to search for anyone who may have been inside the residence. Ultimately, Mark Block, was arrested for sale of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, among other charges.

Chief Richard Del Toro states, “This piece of equipment can be used to clear houses, buildings, and other structures before we send an actual officer inside. We are dedicated to providing all the resources available to keep our officers safe”.
