Port St Lucie Police investigating apparent Murder/Suicide 

Port St.Lucie, Fl- The Port St. Lucie Police Department is investigating an apparent murder-suicide Sunday morning.

Here are the details from the Port St. Lucie Police Department:

At about 2:52 AM on Sunday the Port St Lucie police  responded to a home in the 5400 block of NW Cromey St. for a report of gunshots. 

Upon arrival, officers found an adult female and adult male deceased in a bedroom, both from apparent gunshot wounds. 

The preliminary investigation revealed that the 51-year-old male repeatedly shot his 52-year-old wife as she slept, then shot himself. 

A 16-year-old family member and a 16-year-old friend who were in the home at the time of the incident were unharmed.
