Port St Lucie Police make arrest in domestic violence related shooting

Port St Lucie, Fl- PSLPD detectives arrested and charged 57-year-old Lisa Brightman of Port St. Lucie with First-Degree Attempted Homicide in the domestic violence related shooting of a 42-year-old victim that occurred in the 2600 block of SW Acco Rd.

The shooting stemmed from an argument between Brightman and the victim about the victim moving out of the home they shared together since their romantic relationship had previously ended. During the argument, Brightman armed herself with a 9mm handgun and shot the victim 4 times.

The victim survived and is currently in stable condition.

  1. @PSLPD, while I understand the need for justice in all cases, I can’t help but wonder when your department will take action to arrest those who knowingly committed the murder of my brother in your city.

    There is overwhelming evidence in his case that has been overlooked, and it’s frustrating to see other cases being prioritized while my brother’s death remains unresolved. Can you explain why this is the case, and when we can expect justice for Calvin Berry? #justice4calvin
