Port St Lucie, Fl- On Sept 28 at about 3:08 PM, PSLPD responded to a residence in the 600 block of NW Marion Ave. for an in progress domestic violence incident.
The preliminary investigation revealed that upon entering the residence, officers encountered an adult female, children, and an adult male suspect.
The adult male suspect was armed with an explosive device and at some point, an officer involved shooting occurred. The adult male suspect was pronounced deceased shortly thereafter.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has taken over the investigation.
There is no threat to the community, but the scene remains active at this time.
