Joseph Schrieber threatened to burn down the mosque weeks ago according to coworkers. The damage inside the mosque is estimated to be around $100-thousand. Some of the worshipers are volunteering to help with the clean-up and debris removal. A campaign is underway to raise money to rebuild the mosque. Over $30-thousand dollars have been raised.…

Joseph Michael Schreiber of Port St Lucie was arrested today in connection with the fire at the Islamic Center of Ft Pierce.

Arson at Islamic Center of Ft Pierce
A fire overnight heavily-damaged the Islamic Center of Ft Pierce The cause of the fire is under investigation. Surveillance video show’s someone driving up before 12:30 am and intentionally starting that fire. Leaders at the mosque have said the past they had been receiving threats, including some threats to burn it down.
