Port St.Lucie, Fl – We are so happy to report that Nikki has been reunited with her family.
We had reported Nikki, a tan and black female Belgian Malinois, has been missing since Nov. 16 from the 5700 block of NW Culebra Avenue, one street north of NW East Torino Parkway.
Here are the details from the Port St.Lucie Police.
Santa came early for one retired veteran!
Last night, Animal Control recovered Nikki, the Belgian Malinois service dog that has been missing since last month.
Alert citizens saw the missing pooch earlier last week in the Torino area, but the dog was skittish and kept running into the wood line. Animal Control responded and contacted Trapper Jay with Treasure Coast Wildlife Trappers who set a trap in the area.
A few days later, Nikki took the bait and was recovered in good health. Nikki was reunited with her owner who was clearly relieved!

Thank you to all who made this reunion possible!
Thanks to Trapper Jay!
