Brian Mast continues to insult the City of Fort Pierce

Fort Pierce, Florida- Congressman Brian Mast continues to insult the people of Ft Pierce.

Brian and his family moved from a beautiful house on the St.Lucie River in Martin County to Fort Pierce (I believe on the Island).

A while back all the tires were stolen from his wife’s car. We are so sorry this happened ! Was this case ever solved?

Here are some facts about Ft Pierce (that are easily accessible thru google.)

What is the average household income in Fort Pierce Florida?

The average household income in Fort Pierce is $53,506 with a poverty rate of 27.12%.

Is it expensive to live in Fort Pierce?

The total cost of housing, food, child care, transportation, health care, taxes, and other necessities for a single adult in Fort Pierce is $38,205 a year — greater than the annual cost of living for Florida of $36,375 yet roughly in line with the national figure of $38,433.

There are 15 Food pantries in Fort Pierce.

Congressman Mast make 179,000 dollars a year. Perhaps he should move somewhere else.

For those interested here are the plans for the City of Fort Pierce.

I’m a health care worker who works throughout the Treasure Coast. I go to every part of Ft.Pierce. I’ve never complained, always felt welcome and never felt unsafe.

The people of Fort Pierce just like the rest of us need to be able to afford food, home owners , car insurance etc.

What are your thoughts? 1. Ours is you should probably research where you are going to move before you go there. 2. Instead of being so negative do something positive that will help.

  1. The city ‘leaders’ can’t manage their agreed on budget and apparently just look out for themselves. Ft. Piss has become a place just begging for a felony to occur. All that decay and expanding landfill sidewalks and adjoining property) didn’t happen over night. Chicago should be a warning and not a goal for the elected clown car.

And, writing a hit piece like this tells me all I need to know about you. Other stories you post repeat the headline 3 times. All sizzle. NO steak. You are about 100 miles too far north for anybody’s good.

    1. I live in Jensen Beach. I’m a nurse so in all three counties. So I actually go in and out of peoples houses. I also understand their issues. 1. Can’t afford simple things like food. Not a hit piece. If something is wrong and needs to fixed then it should be. I’ve been following the city and its updates for nine years. Could they do better? For sure we all can. But my very first issue is Brian bought what was a very expensive house on the island and apparently never drove thru the rest of the city or county before he bought his house.
Like U said I do live here and I know the people and their issues not just by writing about it for nine years but actually seeing where people live. I don’t know the mayor. But if people have an issue offer to help make it better.

      1. Your hit piece smacks of CLASS WARFARE. It’s a Dimm thing.

This is B’man’s 2nd trip to Ft. Pierce.

He obviously prefers it to Palm City.

Too bad none of the other residents give a flyin ___ about the place. If they don’t care, there’s no one to answer to.

I’m sure it reminds him of 90% of the residential areas of DC . I lived there from 69 to 12. Ft. Pierce reminds me of Atlantic City off their boardwalk.

Time to change head coaches in City Hall.

      2. Well again I’m a nurse. So my job is to take care of people. I think people do care but they have issues asking for help. Many just can’t afford it.

      4. just an fyi he did some great work on our water. He called me on the phone the first time he ran. I knew his staff very well. He is a complete and utter disappointment. Most of us that very publicly defended him will not do so anymore. He literally had all our river warrior community behind him. I’m not defending the mayor! All I can say is since I started covering this stuff the City has done a lot of stuff. I can only speak for myself. and you hardly see this stuff on the news cause its not clickbait enough to even consider writing anything about it.

    2. You know everything to know about me! I care nothing for elected officials and only for the actual ability of people to manage their lives. Which is not easy. Btw Fort Pierce has funds for people to get grants to help fix their property- loads of programs all available on google
