  1. I saw several kids on dirt bikes and an ATV riding up Port Saint Lucie Blvd. through the construction near Gatlin. Was thinking that it looked like an accident waiting to happen. All of the vehicles looked pretty new.

    1. this child was riding to a friends house a few blocks away. The real issue is the car leaving the scene.

No Cindi, the real issue is the 12yr old on a dirt bike, riding on the road, and hit the car. It says the 12yr hit the car and then the car left, not the car hitting the bike. Why does the 12yr old have a dirt bike in the city, they are ment for off road and last I checked the city is letting developers clear lots for houses not dirt bike parks. The car should of stayed yes but it not just on the driver of the car.

  3. A few years ago there was a child hit while crossing Indian River Drive where Barbours used to be. I’m not even sure who was at fault. The driver stopped and a bunch of us stopped called 911 and waited for the ambulance to come.

    2. let me ask you? are the port st lucie police disrespectful? they simply want to find the person who left the scene and find out what happened. I’m not sure what planet you live on but this is normal operating procedure. also do you think its ok to leave a child bleeding from their ears on the road alone? would you do that? really get a grip.

  5. I’m going to explain how the news works. Been writing the news since 2015. I have places I question if things are true or not and I won’t post it if i think its at all fishy. I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with the PSLPD since 2015. If I had a question right this moment I could text the PIO and ask him. I’ve also know you have to patient. When they put out a post like this they are reporting what happened and they are trying to find the person that left the scene. They are absolutely great about posting this to public so we will all help. I, admittedly will not let a post like this go by if I can help it. It’s not my job to judge. If I am you’ll know because I will clearly say this is my opinion. If people want to yell at me thats fine. I don’t really care.
