On April 23rd, 2024, the United States Marshals Task Force with the assistance of the Okeechobee Sheriff’s Office, arrested 19-year-old Dylan Ray Boully on an outstanding PSLPD warrant for three counts of Vehicular Homicide, three counts of DUI Manslaughter, DUI with Serious Bodily Injury, and Reckless Driving Causing Serious Bodily Injury, all felonies. Boully was arrested at this place of employment in Okeechobee.
The investigation began on March 15th, 2024, at about 11:35 pm when PSLPD responded to a single vehicle crash in the 1500 block of SE Veterans Memorial Pkwy. A 2017 red Dodge Ram 1500 with five occupants was traveling south on SE Veterans Memorial Pkwy. when the vehicle exited the roadway and struck a tree.
Three of the five occupants, 16-year-old Draiden Lee Frank, 20-year-old Leah Marie Herman, and 18-year-old Jimmie Dale Brown, were all ejected during the crash and were pronounced deceased at the scene. Another passenger, 17-year-old Lia Marie Tucker, was seriously injured and transported to Lawnwood Hospital. The driver, 19-year-old Dylan Ray Boully, was also transported to Lawnwood Hospital with minor injuries.
Over the last 5 weeks, Traffic Homicide Investigators have been relentlessly investigating this horrific crash. Through their investigative efforts, they were able to determine that the driver, Dylan Ray Boully, had a blood alcohol level of .161, more than twice the legal limit. They were also able to determine that Boully was recklessly speeding around twice the posted speed limit of 40 miles per hour just prior to the crash.
Mr. Boully is currently incarcerated at the Okeechobee County Jail on a $320,000 bond.
